A sip

When I took a closer look, she had already dived too deep in her book.

It took me a moment to realise, another moment will be a stare otherwise.

But, what to do,

thoughts on her face, calmness on her lips,

questions behind her specs and tangled life in her hair;

gave away the title hidden under her fingers, which was a scene very rare.

How should I tell her that it is going to break her heart to the end,

but I guess it is fine for rhymes to have the same end. 😉

I took the final sip of my coffee and had an urge to witness the last page,

It was bewildering to see a smile, seems she has formerly come out of that cage.

Maybe she has also made her peace with the difficult conclusions,

If only, I’d have stayed and asked, her name was the answer to all my delusions.
